M240 Robust Motor Cage

The Bull Craft Industries M240 Robust Motor Cage was engineered as a replacement for the original motor cage, which is no longer readily available—and redesigned to address several weaknesses of the original assembly.

One of the biggest failure points of the original design was the separate trigger switch bracket screwed into the motor cage. Our design eliminates that connection entirely by incorporating the trigger switch mount directly into the motor cage as one integrated structure. Fewer separate components and fasteners means fewer opportunities for movement, loosening, misalignment, or failure.

The cage also provides increased clearance for motor-height adjustment, giving the installer more usable adjustment range when setting motor engagement and alignment.

Rather than simply holding the motor, the geometry of the cage was designed to positively grip the gearbox and resist rotation. This helps keep the motor and gearbox assembly properly positioned instead of allowing the cage to twist or shift under load.

Manufactured from SLS Nylon PA12, the cage forms a strong, rigid structure designed to resist twisting and help maintain proper alignment.

This wasn't designed in a vacuum. Through input and feedback from multiple experienced airsoft technicians, the M240 Robust Motor Cage was repeatedly refined to improve fitment, adjustment, strength, and installation.
